Zoi Sadowski-Synnott brought the first Winter Olympics gold in New Zealand’s history

Two-time world champion Zoi Sadowski-Synnott won the Olympic title in the slopestyle snowboard at the Beijing 2022 Games and brought first gold in New Zealand history at the Winter Olympics.

The 20-year-old Zoi Sadowski-Synnott triumphed on the track in Zhangjiakou with 92.88 points.

Thus, she earned the second Olympic medal in her career after bronze in PyeongChang 2018 in the Big Air discipline.

Julia Marino (USA) finished second with 87.68 points and achieved the greatest success of her career.

21-year-old Tess Coady from Australia was third with 84.15 points in her Olympic debut.

The defending champion from Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 Jamie Anderson (USA) failed to take third consecutive Olympic gold. She performed below her potential and remained ninth with 60.78 points.

The silver medalist from PyeongChang 2018 Laurie Blouin (Canada) stayed one step away from the podium this time. The 2017 Sierra Nevada world champion was fourth with 81.41 points.
