Chinese tennis player Zhu Lin won her career-first title after triumphing at the WTA 250 Thailand Open in Hua Hin (Thailand) with a prize fund of 259,303 USD.
In her first career final, Zhu Lin defeated her Ukrainian opponent Lesia Tsurenko by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) in 1:45.
In the first set, there were a total of seven breaks, and after 3:2 for Lesia Tsurenko, the Chinese player took three games in a row for 5:3 and won the set without any problems.
There were also seven breaks in the second set. Zhu Lin took a 5:3 lead, missed a match point, and lost serve in the next game, but in the tenth game, she was able to close out the match on her third chance.
The 33-year-old Lesia Tsurenko, who is ranked 136th in the WTA rankings, failed to win the fifth title of her career. For her, it was the first final of a WTA tournament after Brisbane in 2019.
