Yulimar Rojas is number one among Venezuela’s athletes for the seventh time

World and Olympic triple jump champion Yulimar Rojas was once again named the best athlete of the year by the Circle of Sports Journalists of Venezuela. This is the seventh time that the record holder has been named the best athlete of her country.

This also makes her the most awarded woman in the sports history of the country.

The 28-year-old Venezuelan was also named No 1 in the sectoral disciplines by World Athletics. In 2023, she won her fourth outdoor world title with a mark of 15.08mat the World Championships in Budapest. She also secured her third consecutive Diamond League title in Eugene.

Yulimar Rojas Rodríguez is nicknamed la reina del triple salto – queen of the triple jump. She is the current Olympic champion, a four-time World Champion, and three-time World Indoor Champion.
