The Olympian, indoor and outdoor world champion and triple jump world record holder Yulimar Rojas had no trouble winning the Diamond League in Lausanne. The Venezuelan made only two successful attempts in the competition but secured first place with 15.31 m (-0.2 m/s).
Birmingham Commonwealth Games champion and silver medalist at the last two outdoor world championships Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica) came second with 14.64 m (0.4 m/s), while Munich 2022 European champion Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk (Ukraine) took the third place with 14.31 m (-0.2 m/sec).
Yulimar Rojas is a Venezuelan athlete who holds the world record for women’s triple jump, currently 15.74 m. She is the current Olympic champion, as well as a three-time World Champion (2017 London, 2019 Doha, and 2022 Eugene), and three-time World Indoor Champion (2016 Portland, 2018 Birmingham, and 2022 Belgrade). Since 2014 she has held, and continued to beat, Venezuelan national records in triple jump and long jump.
