World high jump champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh will make her debut at the Millrose Games in New York on February 11. The 22-year-old Ukrainian athlete won the world title in Budapest this summer and at the end of the season secured a second diamond trophy in her collection of honors.
Yaroslava Mahuchikh cleared 2.01m for the gold at the Budapest World Athletics Championships, after already having two silvers at the world championships in Oregon and Doha. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the Ukrainian won bronze.
In the 2023 Diamond League Final, she won with a season’s world best of 203 cm.

With her personal best of 205 cm outdoors and 206 cm indoors she several times attacked the world record in women’s high jump of 209 cm, set by Bulgarian athlete Stefka Kostadinova in 1987, which is one of the oldest records in athletics.
