Yaroslava Mahuchikh confirmed participation in Diamond League Rabat

Reigning Diamond League champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh has confirmed participation in the Diamond League circuit tournament in Rabat (Morocco) on May 28. The tournament will face some of the top athletes in the world in a fierce competition.

Last year’s Diamond Trophy winner in the high jump, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, who is also the reigning European and world indoor champion, recently opened the season at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, topping the world rankings for the season with 2.00m. In Rabat, she will compete against her compatriot Iryna Gerashchenko and with the Italian Elena Vallortigara.

There will also be a Ukrainian presence in the women’s triple jump, where will compete the indoor world medalist Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk and outdoor world medalist Shanieka Ricketts and the 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medalist Thea LaFond (Dominican Republic).

The Rio 2016 Olympics champion and Tokyo 2020 Olympics silver medalist Dalilah Muhammad (USA) confirmed participation in the 400m hurdles. She will face the 2019 World Championships bronze medalist Rushell Clayton (Jamaica) and Janieve Russell (Jamaica).

In the shot put, the Dutch athlete Jessica Schilder will face Auriol Dongmo (Cameroon) and Sarah Dawn Mitton (Canada).
