World Athletics has ratified five world records set in 2022 and 2023, including the one of Femke Bol in the 400m indoor.
On February 19th, Femke Bol won the Netherlands Championships with an impressive 400m world record of 49.26 sec.
Femke Bol is a Dutch track and field athlete who specializes in the 400m hurdles and 400m. She is the Tokyo 2020 Olympics bronze medallist in the 400m hurdles with the current European record of 52.03 sec, becoming the third-fastest woman of all time and the first Dutch Olympic medallist at the event.
Two more world records set last year were also ratified – Emane Seifu’s world record at Women’s 50km (in a women-only event), who took the distance for 3:00:30 hours and Kayla Jackson’s U20 Girls’ 60m breaststroke of 7.07 sec.
