Volero Le Cannet defends its title in the French League

The women’s volleyball team Volero Le Cannet will defend its title in the French League. The team led by Mladen Kasic prevailed over Pays d’Aix Venelles Volley Ball by 3-1 (25:17, 22:25, 25:17, 25:14) in the third leg of the semi-finals and won the series by 2-1 , advancing to the grand final.

Vita Akimova was the most valuable player in the match with 23 points (3 aces). Eva Yaneva scored 16 points (2 aces, 1 block) and was second in scoring, while Anna Kotikova contributed with 13 points (2 aces).

For Pays d’Aix Venelles Volley Ball, Samantha Drechsel finished with 13 points, while Yasmine Abderrahim added 10 points.

In the final, Volero Le Cannet will face ASPTT Mulhouse, which eliminated Beziers Volley by 3-0 and 3-1 game. Thus, last year’s final will be repeated, in which the “purples” beat the opponent with 3-0 victories.
