Virtus Bologna qualified for the semifinals play-off of the Italian Serie A1 Women

Basketball team Virtus Bologna qualified for the semifinals play-off of the Italian Serie A1 Women. The leaders from the main scheme defeated Basket Crema by 75-62 (16-19, 21-12, 12-11, 26-20) in the second leg match and thus with 2 wins advanced to the Top 4 stage of the Italian women’s basketball this season.

Cheyenne Parker was the MVP of the match and the most effective for Virtus Bologna with 22 pts, 8 rebs, and 3 asts. Olbis Andre finished the game with 13 pts, 15 rebs, and 1 ast, while Beatrice Del Pero scored 8 pts for the success.

For Basket Crema, the most effective was Masseny Kaba with 18 pts and 9 rebs. Jasmine Dickey and Beatrix Meresz added 9 pts each.

Thus in the semifinals, they will face San Giovanni, who also qualified after a victory in the second leg versus Sassari by 83-77 (23-20, 18-16, 17-22, 25-19).

The other semi-final will face the reigning Italian champion Schio and Venezia.
