The former world’s number one Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) advanced to the third round of the WTA 1000 Guadalajara Open Akron after defeating Dayana Yastremska (Ukraine) by 2-0 (6:4, 7:6) in 2:10 hours of play.
Although the first serve of the 10th-seeded Belarusian tennis player not to be so accurate, she succeeded to be more accurate in the first return and made twice more winners than her opponent. The qualifier Caroline Dolehide (USA) also advanced to the third round after defeating her compatriot Sachia Vickery by 2-1 (6:3, 4:6, 6:1).
