The 2nd-seeded Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova easily overcame the first round of the WTA 250 Jasmin Open Monastir in Tunisia, after defeating her Russian compatriot Varvara Gracheva by 2-0 (6:1, 6:0) in just 54 minutes.
Veronika Kudermetova had one of the easiest matches of her career, recording six breaks and only once saving a break point. Varvara Gracheva, on the other hand, won only one game in the entire match and made too many mistakes.
In the next round Veronika Kudermetova, who is the world’s No 12, will face the Polish tennis player Magdalena French, who defeated Yasmin Mansouri by 2-0 (6:3, 6:2).
In other matches of the day, Moyuka Uchijima defeated Kamilla Rakhimova by 2-0 (6:3, 6:3), while Tamara Zidansek eliminated Marina Bassols by 2-1 (5:7, 6:3, 7:5).
