VakifBank won their 9th Cup of Turkey

The women’s volleyball team of VakifBank won the Cup of Turkey after defeating Fenerbahce Opet by 3-0 (25:15, 25:23, 29:27) in the grand final played in the Atatürk Hall in Izmir in front of 5,000 spectators.

VakifBank started the match well and took the first set without difficulties. The last two sets, however, were quite competitive.

Thus, VakifBank won its ninth Cup – after 1995, 1997, 1998, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2022. Fenerbahce Opet has three trophies won – 2010, 2015, and 2017.

Paola Egonu was above everyone with 25 points (1 ace, 51% efficiency in attack – +17), while Gabriela Guimaraes finished with 15 points.

For Fenerbahce Opet, the top scorer was Melissa Vargas with 17 points (2 aces, 1 block), while Arina Fedorovtseva scored 10 points.
