Iryna Gerashchenko is a Ukrainian high jumper. She competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Olympics, finishing 10th and 4th respectively. Iryna Gerashchenko has a personal best of 199 cm (outdoors) and 198 cm (indoors).
Iryna Gerashchenko was born on March 10, 1995, in Kyiv, Ukraine. She started practicing sports from an early age and proved her talent. Iryna Gerashchenko won the silver medal from the 2011 World Youth Championships in Lille, France with 187 cm. She was also third in the 2013 European Junior Championships in Rieti, Italy with 184 cm.
The young Ukrainian is one of the biggest talents of her country. She won a silver medal from the 2017 Bydgoszcz European U23 Championships and a bronze medal from the 2015 Tallinn European U23 Championships.
Iryna Gerashchenko has two silver medals from the 2017 Taipei and 2019 Napels Universiades. She was also a silver medalist from the 2021 Torun European Indoor Championships.
Iryna Gerashchenko has also one win in the Diamond League. She won the gold at the 2021 Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, the United States.
