Turkey’s women’s volleyball team won bronze medals at the Eurovolley 2021 after defeating the Netherlands with 3-0 (25:20, 25:19, 25:23) in the small final in front of 3,600 spectators at the Stark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia.
Giovanni Guidetti’s alumni completely dominated the first two parts and did not give the Netherlands a chance.
In the third game, the Dutch women’s volleyball team led by 4 points at 16:12, but that was not enough to succeed. Turkey closed the third part with 25:23, and thus won the match with a 3-0 game and bronze medals.
Ebrar Karakurt (3 blocks, 40% efficiency in attack) and Hande Baladin (1 ace, 1 block, 55% efficiency in attack, 55% perfect) scored 13 points each for success.
Anne Buijs scored 14 points (1 ace, 45% efficiency in attack, 39% perfect) for the Netherlands.
