Turkey’s women’s volleyball team achieved its second victory at the World Cup. Giovanni Guidetti’s girls overcame the Dominican Republic in hard-fought and dramatic fashion 3-2 (21:25, 25:21, 25:18, 16:25, 15:13) in their third match of Group B at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, played this evening in Gdansk (Poland).
Thus, the Turks are in 3rd place in the group with 2 wins, 1 loss and 6 points. The Dominican Republic is also in the lead with 2 wins and 1 loss, but with 7 points. In the next matches, Turkey will play against Croatia, which has lost three in a row so far, while the Dominican women will face the hosts from Poland. The matches are tomorrow (September 29).
Above all for Turkey was Ebrar Karakurt with a great 29 points (1 block) for the victory.
