Tugba Danısmaz set a Turkish national triple jump best for the gold in Poland

The European indoor triple jump champion from Istanbul 2023 Tugba Danısmaz won the first place at the European Team Championship from the First League in Chozow (Poland). She set a new Turkish national record of 14.16m (-0.2 m/s) for the win.

Ottavia Cestonaro brought more valuable points for the Italian team, which was the winner in the competition, finishing in second place with 14.09m (-0.3m/sec). Sweden’s Maja Askag took the third position with 13.88m (-0.6m/sec).

Tugba Danısmaz is a Turkish track and field athlete competing in the long jump and triple jump. She won the gold medal for the triple jump at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. Tugba Danısmaz claimed silver and gold at the 2019 and 2021 European Under-23 Championships respectively.

Tugba Danısmaz is the Turkish national record holder for the triple jump both outdoors and indoors.
