Top-seeded Jessica Pegula (USA) advanced to the quarter-finals of the hard court tennis tournament WTA 250 Korea Open in Seoul with a prize money of 259,303 USD.

The American tennis player defeated her compatriot Ashlyn Krueger by 2-0 (6:3, 6:1) in 62 minutes. Jessica Pegula made 3 breaks in the first set and two breaks in the second, which proved to be enough for winning the match.

In the match for a place in the semi-finals, she will play another American, Claire Liu.

The fourth-seeded Marie Bouzkova (Czech Republic) also advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Eva Lys (Germany). She won the first set 6:1, after which her opponent withdrew due to an injury.
