Top-seeded Diana Shnaider qualified for the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 Hong Kong Tennis Open

The top-seeded Diana Shnaider (Russia) qualified for the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 Hong Kong Tennis Open hard court tournament. The Russian tennis player eliminated Priscilla Hon (Australia) in the second round by 2-0 (6:4, 6:1) in just 69 minutes of play.

The Russian tennis player trailed 2:3 in the first set after the rivals exchanged one break each. However, she caught up to 5:3 in her favor after three consecutive successful games and closed the set at 6:4.

Diana Shnaider was much more convincing in the second set, taking a 4:0 lead and ending the match at 6:1.

Second-seeded Katie Boulter (Great Britain) reached the quarterfinals after defeating Wang Xiyu (China) by 2-0 (7:6(7), 6:4). The match lasted two hours and 16 minutes.

The sixth-seeded Chinese player Yue Yuan prevailed over Nao Hibino (Japan) after a reversal with 2-1 (4:6, 7:5, 6:2) in two hours and 41 minutes of play, and the ninth-seeded Bernarda Pera (USA) eliminated Shi Han (China) by 2-0 (6:0, 6:4) and will also play in the quarterfinals of the Hong Kong tennis tournament.
