Top-seeded Coco Gauff advanced to the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Auckland

The top-seeded Coco Gauff advanced to the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Auckland after defeating her compatriot Sofia Kenin by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) in a match that lasted 85 minutes.

Ysaline Bonaventure (Belgium) eliminated Rebecca Marino (Canada) by 2-1 (3:6, 6:3, 6:3), while US Open 2021 runner-up Leylah Fernandez defeated Julia Grabher by 2-0 (6:0, 6:1).
