The third-seeded Donna Vekic (Croatia) qualified for the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey (Mexico) with a prize fund of 259,303 USD. The Croatian tennis player defeated Emma Navarro (USA) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:2) in a match that lasted 1:21 hours.

Donna Vekic did not face any problems in the match taking a comfortable lead of 4:0 in both of the sets, which was enough to close the match with 2-0.

In the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey, Donna Vekic will face Ysaline Bonaventure (Belgium), who defeated Kamilla Rakhimova (Russia) by 2-1 (7:6, 1:6, 6:3).

Caroline Dolehide (USA) also advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (Slovakia) by 2-0 (6:2, 6:4) and will face fifth-seeded Lin Zhu (China), who eliminated Rebecca Marino (Canada) with 2-1 (7:6, 2:6, 6:3).
