Norwegian Therese Johaug will miss the World Cup Finals final due to injury, reported the International Ski Federation (FIS). The final stage is conducted in Engadin (Switzerland) this weekend.
32-year-old Norwegian will not be started because of wrist inflammation.
Therese Johaug is a Norwegian cross-country skier, Olympic champion, a winner of 14 gold medals from the world championship and three times won the big crystal globe. This season she is in ninth place in the World Cup General Ranking.
In October 2016 she tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug clostebol and was suspended for a period of 18 months. However, after returning she won 7 gold and one silver medal from the World Cups in disciplines 10 km individual, 15 km skiathlon, 30 km mass start, and 4 × 5 km relay.
