Several of the world’s best 100m hurdlers will compete at the Diamond League in the Chinese city of Suzhou this month. Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Danielle Williams and world record holder and this winter’s 60m hurdles world champion Devynne Charlton will line up on April 27.
China’s four-time champion Wu Yanni will also be among the participants in this discipline.
Bahamian athlete Devynne Charlton is hoping to record a first Diamond League win of the season, after not losing this winter. Devynne Charlton lowered the 60m world record to 7.65sec for the world title in Glasgow after missing out on a medal at the Budapest World Athletics Championships in the summer of 2023.
Jasmine Camacho-Quinn has nine Diamond League wins since 2021 and will look to add one more in China.
Jamaican star Danielle Williams claimed a diamond victory in Brussels in 2019. The 31-year-old made an impressive return to the athletics scene last year with a world title in Budapest in 12.43sec.
