The US women’s 4x100m relay team won the Olympic title in Paris

The US women’s 4x100m relay team won the Olympic title in Paris. The Americans, consisting of Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry, Gabrielle Thomas and Sha’Carri Richardson, prevailed under the heavy rain at the Stade de France with a time of 41.78 sec.

The other two medals were won by European relays. Dina Asher-Smith, Imani-Lara Lansiquot, Amy Hunt and Daryll Neita took silver for Great Britain in 41.85 sec.

The German relay team (Alex Burkhart, Lisa Meier, Gina Luckenkemper and Rebekka Haase) fought for the bronze with 41.97 sec.

France and Jamaican completed the Top 5 with 42.23 sec and 42.29 sec.
