The Netherlands 4x400m relay women’s team won the world gold in Budapest

The Netherlands 4x400m relay women’s team managed to win the final in the event at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, achieving a result of 3:20.72 min. Thus, the Dutch athletes proved to be the fastest at 400m on the planet.

Femke Bol, who became the world champion in the 400m hurdles, was running for the winners. Eveline Saalberg, Lieke Klaver and Cathelijn Peeters ran at the other posts for the winners.

The Jamaican team, including Candice McLeod, Janieve Russell, Nickisha Pryce and Stacey Ann Williams, took the silver with 3:20.88 min, while the bronze went to Great Britain (Laviai Nielsen, Amber, Anning, Ama Pipi and Nicole Yeargin) with 3:21.04 min.

Canada and Belgium completed the Top 5, but remained without honors from the event.

The Netherlands won total of 5 medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze).
