The women’s strawweight fight between Michelle Waterson and Amanda Ribas has been postponed. The two contestants were originally scheduled to fight on March 26, but have now their fight was moved to UFC 274.
The exact date of the event is not yet known, but it is clear that it will take place in Phoenix, Arizona in the spring.
Michelle Waterson, 36, is a former Invicta FC champion and has been competing at a high level for years. Her last fight was in May 2021, when she lost to Marina Rodriguez at the main event of UFC on ESPN 24 – Rodriguez vs. Waterson. Earlier, Michelle Waterson recorded a victory with a split decision over Angela Hill.
The 28-year-old Amanda Ribas last fought in UFC 267 in October 2021 when she defeated former Invicta champion Virna Jandiroba. Earlier in 2021, she lost to Marina Rodriguez via TKO.
UFC 274 is expected to include a championship match between Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje.
