The female volleyball players of the Dominican Republic have qualified for Paris 2024 Olympics.

They prevailed over the bronze medalists of the 2023 European Volleyball Championships, the Netherlands, with 3-2 (25:20, 20:25, 25:19, 23:25, 15:12) in front of 5,300 spectators in Ningbo, China.

The Dominican Republic thus became only the fifth team to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The other 3 are: the host France, the European champions from Turkey, the world champions from Serbia, and Tokyo 2020 Olympics runner-up Brazil.

With a round to go, the Dominican Republic leads Group A with 17 points. Second is the team of Serbia, which also qualified.
