The 16-year-old Shawnti Jackson set a new record at 60m girls

The 16-year-old Shawnti Jackson, the daughter of the 2005 400m hurdles world champion Bershawn Jackson, made the show at the Millrose Games. Shawnti Jackson, who is training under her father’s guidance, finished third in the women’s 60-meter spring. She gave a result of 7.18 sec.

The achievement of the young sprinter is a new record for girls. So far, the best result was 7.19 sec, with first place shared by Ashley Owens (2004) and Tamari Davis (2020).

The 2018 NCAA champion Aleia Hobbs closed down the leaders in the final 40m to get the women’s 60m in 7.11 sec.

Shawnti Jackson is a youth athlete competing at 100m, 200m, and 400m, as well as 4x400m relay. Her personal best results are 11.28 sec (100m), 23.15 sec (200m), and 52.54 sec (400m).
