Ukrainian female boxer Tetyana Kob won the title in Flyweight at the European Boxing Championships in Budva (Montenegro). She won the final fight versus the 27-year-old Bulgarian boxer Venelina Poptoleva.
The first round was quite contested, but the judges gave the advantage to the Ukrainian boxer. However, in the next two rounds, Tetyana Kob was dominating and her shots were accurate and she deserved the victory and the European title.
Tetyana Kob is a Ukrainian female boxer, who competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics in the women’s flyweight. She is European champion in Flyweight at 2009 Mykolaiv and 2022 Budva, silver medalist at 2016 Sofia and bronze medalist at 2019 Alcobendas. Tetyana Kob is also world bronze medalist from 2010 Bridgetown
For Venelina Poptoleva, second place at European Boxing Championships in Budva is the biggest success so far.
