Tara Davis-Woodhall won the long jump gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics

Tara Davis-Woodhall (USA) won gold in the women’s long jump at the Paris Olympic track and field event. The American athlete, second at the Budapest World Championships in 2023, world indoor champion from Glasgow in 2024 and sixth at Tokyo 2020, was the only one to clear the 7-meter mark.

The American triumphed with 7.10m, which she recorded on her fourth attempt. She was also first in the qualification when she reached 6.90m.

Defending title from Tokyo 2020, two-time world and current European champion Malaika Mihambo (Germany) remained in second position. Malaika Mihambo took the silver medal with a mark of 6.98m achieved on the fifth attempt.

Jasmine Moore, who became the first US representative to compete in the long and triple jump finals, added a second bronze to her record. She took third place with 6.96m, which he jumped on her first attempt. Five days ago, she also won bronze in the women’s triple jump.
