Swiss soccer babe Alisha Lehmann

Alisha Lehmann is a Swiss football player, who played for the English FA WSL club Aston Villa and the Switzerland national team. She plays as a forward with the number 7 on her jersey.

Alisha Lehmann was born on January 21, 1999, in Tagertschi, Switzerland. She was fond of sports from an early age and started in football at the age of 9. Her youth career began with the club FC Konolfingen, where she played from 2008 to 2011. She then continued her career at BSC Young Boys Frauen, where she played in the women’s U14 team, but also trained three times a week from the U13 to U15 with the young men’s teams.

During the winter break of the 2015/2016 season, she has then integrated into the national league A team of BSC Young Boys Frauen, where she prevailed straight away and earned a regular place.

After the 2017/2018 season, the 19-year-old moved from the BSC Young Boys Frauen team to West Ham United in the English Women’s Super League in August 2018. It was reported that the West Ham manager had been impressed by her performances at the 2018 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship, which Switzerland hosted. In April 2019, West Ham extended Alisha Lehmann’s contract after she scored 9 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions and helped the club reach the Women’s FA Cup final. By scoring the equalizing goal in the semi-final match against Reading.

In January 2021, Alisha Lehmann was loaned to Everton FC. She played with the club until the end of the season, recording 12 matches and 1 goal.

Alisha Lehmann moved to Aston Villa for the 2021/2022 season. In July 2022, she signed a one-year contract extension with Aston Villa for the 2022/2023 season, having made 23 appearances and scored 4 goals during her maiden season at the club.

In 2022/2023, Alisha Lehmann became the key forwarder of the team, scoring 4 goals and making 3 assists so far.

At the international level, Alisha Lehmann played for the Swiss U17 national team, which was the runner-up at the European U17 Championship in Iceland. She played also at the European U19 Championships in Switzerland

Alisha Lehmann made her senior debut for Switzerland on October 22, 2017, in Nagano in a friendly against Japan. In April 2021 she was in the team that qualified for the 2022 European Championships in England. In the barrage game against the Czech Republic, Switzerland only prevailed in the penalty shoot-out. Alisha Lehmann was the third shooter and scored to make it 1-1. At the end of May 2022, Alisha Lehmann announced that she did not want to take part in the European Championships because she did not feel “mentally ready”.
