Swedish swimming star Sarah Sjostrom will miss the FINA World Cups for the rest of the year and the 25m World Championships to prepare for the 2023 World 50m Championships and the Paris 2024 Olympics.

She has 63 World Cup victories, placing her fifth on the all-time list for female swimmers. At last year’s World 25m Championships in Abu Dhabi, she won seven medals – three gold, three silver, and one bronze.
“I need an autumn with some peace and quiet before the 2023 World 50m Championships and the Olympic Games”, said Sarah Sjostrom.
