Sweden won the bronze medal at the Olympic Curling Tournament in Beijing 2022 in the mixed teams after a victory over Great Britain with a clear 9:3.
The Scandinavians were quite happy with the bronze medal match after relying on a mistake by the Olympic champion Canada and it eventually happened.
Bruce Mouat and Jennifer Dodds from Great Britain took the first point in the first end, but then the Swedes Oskar Eriksson and Almida de Val were almost flawless and scored nine consecutive stones to turn the game around.
In the second end, both representatives of Sweden managed to score four points, two of each. Then the British team had a chance to reduce, but Jennifer Dodds missed his attempt and this brought three points to the opponent.
With the big advantage on the scoreboard, the Swedes simply controlled the match, stealing points from the British, who could not score even with a hammer. In the 6th end, the Scottish pair simply managed to reduce their defeat.
The final battle for the title is later today when the bronze medalist from four years ago Norway will face the total sensation Italy, which has not lost since now.
