Sweden qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s Euro 2022

Sweden achieved a late victory versus Belgium and qualified for the Women’s Euro 2022 semi-finals, where will face England. A 92nd-minute Linda Sembrant strike snatched victory for Sweden.

Despite the late goal and goalless match, the team of Sweden played better and more aggressively. They had 34 goal attempts and 8 shots on goal against 3 goal attempts and no shot in the goal for Belgium.

Stina Blackstenius of Sweden scored an earlier goal in the first half, which was disallowed due to offside by the VAR. Filippa Angeldahl enjoyed a trio of golden chances for Sweden but failed in the final shot. In the second half, the pressure of Swedish players increased.

In the 92nd-minute Linda Sembrant shot from a short distance brought the victory to the team of Sweden and qualified them to the semi-finals of the Women’s Euro 2022.

On Tuesday, Sweden will face England for the place in the final.
