Swedish women’s national football team defeated the hosts Australia by 2-0 to win the bronze medals at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. FC Milan player Kosovare Asllani fomed the final 2-0 in the 62nd minute after an assist from FC Arsenal’s Stina Blackstenius.
For the Swedish women’s national football team, this is the fourth bronze medal from the FIFA Women’s World Cup. They finished in the same position at the 1991, 2011 and 2019 World Cups. For the Australian team, which has become a real inspiration for their countrymen during the tournament, this is the best ranking to date.
