Australian tennis players Storm Sanders and John Peers won the US Open 2022 mixed doubles title.
In the final, Storm Sanders and John Peers defeated Kirsten Flipkens (Belgium) and Edouard Roger-Vasselin (France) by 2-1 (4:6, 6:4, 10:7) in 1:28 hours.
It’s the first Grand Slam mixed doubles title for John Peers, who has 31 previous appearances before teaming up for the first time with Storm Sanders. He closed the tiebreak of the match with an ace.
John Peers, 34, partnered with former women’s No 1 Ashleigh Barty last year at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where they won the bronze medals.
Storm Sanders is an Australian professional tennis player. Today, she won her first grand slam title in mixed doubles. She has also won four doubles titles on the WTA Tour as well as two singles titles and 13 doubles titles on the ITF Women’s Circuit.
