Slovenia defeated Denmark at the start of the European Women’s Handball Championship

Slovenia defeated Denmark 28:26 at the start of the European Women’s Handball Championship, the match was played in Celje. The home team was a goal behind at the break at the result of 14:15, but won the second half with 14:11, and thus the whole game.

The top scorer in the match was Ana Gros from Slovenia with 8 goals, and her teammate Tamara Mavsar remained with 7 goals. Trine Oestergaard finished with 7 goals for Denmark.

In the other early game, Hungary beat Switzerland by 33-28 in Ljubljana. The Hungarian women also trailed by two goals at the break, but won the second half without appeal with 21:14.

Katrin Gitta Klujber finished with 9 goals for the Hungarian team, Petra Vamos and Viktoria Lukacs scored 6 each. Tabea Schmid was the top scorer for Switzerland with 6 goals.
