Shericka Jackson beat Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce at 100m in Brussels

Shericka Jackson beat five-time world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in the 100m sprint at the Diamond League in Brussels. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who missed the previous round of the circuit due to unwellness during the warm-up, led convincingly until the mid-distance mark, but with outstanding final meters, Shericka Jackson took victory in 10.73 sec (0.6m/s) to Fraser-Pryce’s 10.74 sec.

Marie-Josee Ta Lou was third with 10.78 sec.

Shericka Jackson is a bronze medalist in the 100m at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, as well as a silver medalist at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene 2022, where she won the gold in 200m.
