Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce continues her strong performance in the 100m

Just three days after setting the world record for the year in the 100m of 10.66 sec, the five-time world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce also recorded the second-best result of 2022. The 35-year-old Jamaican won first place at the Gyulai Istvan Memorial Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix at Szekesfehervar with 10.67 sec.

In Hungary, she was followed by the American Tamari Davis with 10.92 sec and the world champion at 60m from Belgrade 2022 Mujinga Kambundji (Switzerland) was third with 10.99 sec.

“It was one of those days when I didn’t feel too good, but I wanted to have a good run. I definitely have more to give. I just needed to watch the races and work a little harder. But it definitely feels good to be running 10.6 sec regularly all year”, said Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce after her win.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is competing in the 60m, 100m, and 200m. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest sprinters of all time. She has 8 Olympics medals (3 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze), 14 World Championships honors (10 gold and 4 silver), as well as a gold medal from the 2014 Sopot World Indoor Championships.
