Shaunae Miller-Uibo won the gold in 400m at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade

Bahamian athlete Shaunae Miller-Uibo added a gold medal in the 400m indoor to her rich collection of awards.

The representative of the Bahamas prevailed over her rivals by 50.31 sec at the final of the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The two-time Olympic champion in the 400m led all the time and managed to cope with the attack of the young Dutch athlete Femke Bol in the end.

For her part, Femke Bol did her best to deserve the victory but succeeded to get only second place with 50.57 sec.

Stephenie Ann McPherson of Jamaica took bronze with a national indoor record of 50.79 sec.

Shaunae Miller-Uibo is a Bahamian athlete sprinter who competes in the 200m and 400m. She is a two-time Olympic champion after winning the women’s 400m at the 2016 Rio Olympics and again at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
