The triple jump athletes Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica) and Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk (Ukraine) will compete at the Diamond League in Oslo in June. European champion Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk and the 2019 Diamond Trophy winner Shanieka Ricketts
will face each other in Norway on June 15.
The Ukrainian also turned to the triple jump only a few years ago, but she is already among the athletes who can boast of a result over 15 m. Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk won European gold in Munich last year with a personal best of 15.02 m.
Shanieka Ricketts, meanwhile, took silver at the Worlds in Oregon last year and in 2023 is hoping to duplicate her diamond trophy from 2019. She is also the reigning Commonwealth Games triple jump champion.
Shanieka Ricketts is a Jamaican athlete whose specialty is the triple jump. Her personal bests in the event are 14.98 m outdoors (Doha, 2021) and 14.08 m indoors (Albuquerque 2013). In July 2021, she qualified to represent Jamaica at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
