Serena Williams with a very high chance of returning on the court

American tennis star Serena Williams, 41, has said she has not given up on tennis and that the chances of her playing again are “very high” after already hinting she would retire after last month’s US Open.

“I haven’t given up”, said Serena Williams at a conference in San Francisco to promote her investment company, Serena Ventures. “The chances are very high (that he will return). You can come to my house, I have a court”, said the tennis player.

In August, the American commented that she was “developing outside of tennis”, but was not certain that the US Open was her last tournament.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion said she has not yet thought about quitting.

“I woke up, went to the court, and realized that for the first time in my life I wasn’t preparing for a tournament, which was quite strange. I’m still trying to find a balance”, added Serena Williams.

Serena Williams is an American professional tennis player. Widely considered among the greatest tennis players of all time, she was ranked world No 1 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) for 319 weeks, including a joint-record 186 consecutive weeks, and finished as the year-end No 1 five times. She won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the most by any player in the Open Era, and the second-most of all time.
