Serbia qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Women’s Volleyball Championship

World champion Serbia qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Women’s Volleyball Championship after smashed Sweden by 3-0 (25:17, 25:13, 25:16).

Thus, the Serbian national team, which is a finalist from the last European Championship in 2021, continues forward in the tournament. In the quarter-finals, Serbia await the winner of the last Round of 16 pairing between the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

On the other hand, Sweden is eliminated from the tournament and will finish in 9/16th place in the final standings of EuroVolley 2023 depending on the results in the remaining Round of 16 matches.

Above all for Serbia was star Tijana Boškovic with a fantastic 24 points (1 block, 2 aces and 62% attack efficiency) for the win.

For the Swedish team, Isabelle Haak scored a “modest” 16 points for her (3 blocks, 2 aces and 31% efficiency in attack).
