A rhythmic gymnastics tournament for the Dina and Arina Averina prize will be held from October 15 to 16 in Nizhny Novgorod, the Russian stars announced on social networks.
“Very soon, on October 15-16, the first edition of the Dina and Arina Averina prize tournament will be held in Nizhny Novgorod”, wrote the gymnasts.
The 24-year-old Dina Averina is the record holder for the number of gold medals from world championships – 18, and at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she won silver in the individual all-around. Arina Averina has five gold, six silver, and five bronze medals from world championships.
Since March, Russian and Belarusian athletes have not been allowed to participate in international tournaments because of the military operation in Ukraine.
