The Spsanish tennis player, who is the highest ranked player to advance in the tournament, defeated Miriam Bianca Bulgaru (Romania) by 2-1 (3:6, 7:6, 6:0) in 2:38 hours of play.
The Romanian tennis player started strongly, shocking her ppponent in the first set after making three breaks against only two for Rebeka Masarova. In the second set, the Spanish tennis player made a flystart winning the first five games and taking a lead of 5:0. However, Miriam Bianca Bulgaru succeeded to equalize ad even overturned the score to 6:5 in her favor and served for the match. Rebeka Masarova returned the break and equalized, turning the set into a tiebreak, which she won by 10-8. In the third decisive set, Miriam Bianca Bulgaru was powerless and her opponent dictated the play and did not gave her a single game.
