Rebecca Sramkova beat Shuai Zhang in straight sets to advance to WTA 250 Jiangxi Open second round

The second-seeded Rebecca Sramkova (Slovakia) needed only 50 minutes to overcome the first round of the WTA 250 Jiangxi Open, defeating the local Shuai Zhang by 2-0 (6:1, 6:1).

The Slovakian tennis player scored 9 aces and was supported by 6 double faults of her Chinese opponent. Rebecca Sramkova gave only one breakpoint to het opponent and achieved the fantastic 5 broeaks in her favor.

The match started with two early breaks for the Slovakia, who took a lead by 4:0. Shuai Zhang succeeded to win her next service game, but Rebecca Sramkova responded strongly by winning the next two games and closing the set at 6:1 in 26 minutes.

The second set was even faster for the Slovakian tennis player after she break in the second game and subsequently led by 3:0. Shuai Zhang won her next service game, but Rebecca Sramkova made another 3 games in a row to close the second set at 6:1 in 24 minutes.

In the next round, Rebecca Sramkova will face another Chinese opponent – Sijia Wei, who defeated Mai Hontama (Japan) in a three-set battle. At the end Sijia Wei won by 2-1 (6:2, 3:6, 6:1).
