Rapid Bucharesti qualified for the Round of 16 at the Europe Challenge Cup Women

The women’s volleyball team of Rapid (Bucharesti) qualified for the Round of 16 of the third strongest European tournament – “Challenge Cup”.

The team led by Carlo Parisi beat Serbia’s Tent (Obrenovac) by 3-0 (25:18, 25:19, 25:20) in the second leg of Round 32, played in Romania.

Rapid (Bucharesti) defeated Tent (Obrenovac) in the first match with the same score.

Nasya Dimitrova scored 9 points (3 aces).
The top scorer was Ioana Maria Baciu with 16 points (1 block), Ailama Cese Montalvo finished with 14 points (2 aces, 3 blocks), while the Bulgarian Nasya Dimitrova scored 9 points (3 aces).

For the opponent, Jovana Cvetkovic finished with 13 points (2 blocks).

In the next stage, Rapid faces Ostrava. The first match between them is on December 21 (Wednesday).

In the other matches of the round, Azerrail Baku defeated Slavia Bratislava by 3-0 and with an aggregate score of 6:1 advanced to the Round of 16. Panathinaikos had a hard match versus Aesch Pfeffingen by won by 3-2 and with an aggregate score of 6:2 also moved ahead.
