Nikola Horowska is a Polish track and field athlete, who specializes in the long jump and 200m. She is a two-time World University Games winner, as well as a three-time national champion.
Nikola Horowska was born on January 3, 2001, in Swietno, Poland. She started training in athletics at an early age and showed great talent. Initially she started in combined events, but after determining her top events switched to sprints and long jump.
Nikola Horowska started her competitive career in 2017, winning the 100m bronze and long jump gold in the Poznan U18 Meeting. She also competed at the Warszawa Polish U18 Championships in the heptathlon but finished only 7th in the final standings.
In 2018, she competed at the Poznan Regional U18 Championships in 200m and long jump, as well as the Chorzow Polish U18 Championships in the heptathlon, but missed the medals for a while. Meanwhile, she earned some medals at regional championships in the long jump.
In 2019, Nikola Horowska earned the heptathlon gold at the City Olympics Wroclaw and finished 4th in the events at the Krakow Polish U20 Combined Events Championships. Meanwhile, she earned the long jump bronze at the Leszno Grand Prix Meeting, silver at the Zamosc LZS Championships, and gold at the Zary SWISS KRONO Cup.
Nikola Horowska made her first remarkable appearance at the national championships in 2020. At the Wloclawek Polish Championships, she finished 6th in the 200m and 9th in the long jump. Although not win an honor, she made a fantastic performance and showed her great skills. Meanwhile, she earned the long jump gold at the CZE-POL U20 Match, Zary SWISS KRONO Cup, Slubice Regional Championships, and Leszno Regional Meeting, as well as silver at the Torun Polish U20 Indoor Championships and Radom Polish U20 Championships. In 200m, she triumphed with the gold at the Radom Polish U20 Championships and Poznan Nestle Cup.
In 2021, Nikola Horowska won the 100m bronze at the Suwalki Polish U23 Championships. She finished 9th in the long jump at the Torun Polish Indoor Championships and 6th in 200m at the Poznan Polish Championships.
Nikola Horowska won her first national medals in 2022, winning the 200m silver at the Suwalki Polish Championships, as well as the 200m gold and 4x100m relay silver at the Torun Polish Indoor Championships. Meanwhile, she debuted at the Diamond League, competing in 200m at the Oslo Bislett Games and Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, and also competed at the Munich European Athletics Championships. Unfortunately, she failed to earn a medal in the competitions but showed great skills. During the season she won the 200m silver at the CITIUS Meeting and the long jump gold at the Grand Prix Nove Mesto nad Metuji.
Nikola Horowska made her most successful season in 2023, winning the long jump national titles at the Torun Polish Indoor Championships and Gorzow Wielkopolski Polish Championships. In the long jump, she also earned the gold at the Chengdu FISU World University Games and earned the bronze at the Grand Prix Sopotu Im. At the Chengdu FISU World University Games, Nikola Horowska also competed at the 4x100m relay, winning the silver, and 200m, winning the gold. During the season, she competed at the Espoo European Athletics U23 Championships and Berlin ISTAF but missed the honors.
In 2024, Nikola Horowska proved to be one of the top Polish athletes, winning the long jump silver at the Torun Polish Indoor Championships and the bronze at the Folksam GP Stockholm Indoor.
