Paula Badosa defeated the two-time champion Petra Kvitova to qualify for the fourth round of Wimbledon

The 4th-seeded Paula Badosa eliminated the two-time champion Petra Kvitova in the third round of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. The Spaniard won the match against the Czech with 2-0 (7:5, 7:6) in 2:05 hours.

Paula Badosa overcame a deficit of 3:5 in the first set, but after a series of four games in a row, whe made a comeback. The second set was played without breaks, and in the tiebreak the Spaniard led by 6:3 and after 7:4 closed the match.

Paula Badosa will play versus the 2019 tournament champion Simona Halep (Romania) in the fourth round.

Petra Kvitova, 32, has not advanced past the third round of a Grand Slam tournament since 2020.
