Paris Saint-Germain Feminine qualified for the UEFA Champions League Women

Paris Saint-Germain Feminine qualified for the UEFA Champions League Women after defeating Manchester United WFC by 3-1 in the qualifications final round. Thus, with an aggregate score of 4-1 the Paris women’s football team qualified for the most prestigious European tournament.

Lieke Martens gave an advance for Paris Saint-Germain Feminine in the 17th minute and the score on 1-0 remained by the end of the first half. The second half started with an equalizer by Lisa Naalsund in the 47th minute. However, Lieke Martens (48′) again and Sandy Baltimore (57′) brought the victory to the hosts.

In the other UEFA Champions League Women qualification finals, Ajax Women defeated Zurich Frauen by 2-0 and with aggregate score of 8-0 also advanced to the tournament main scheme. Real Madrid Femenino recorded a 3-0 visitor win versus Norwegian club Valerenga Fotball Damer and qualify for the tournament with an aggregate score of 5-1.

The other teams that qualify for the UEFA Champions League Women are SL Benfica, Brann Kvinner, SKN St Polten, BK Hacken Women, Eintracht Frankfurt Women, Rosengard Women, Slavia Prague Women, Roma Women.

The big surprise came from the loss of the 2022 Bundesliga Women vice champion, Wolfsburg Women, after failing to overcome the French club Paris FC Women after losing by 0-2 at home and with an aggregate score 5-3 leave the tournament.
