Pachuca lost to Club America in a dramatic match of the Mexico Liga MX Women’s Clausura

The women’s football team Pachuca lost to the visitors Club America in a dramatic match of the eighth round of the Mexico Liga MX Women’s Clausura.

Maria Mauleon scored for the visitors already in the 2nd minute, but with two quick goals by Jenifer Hermoso (6′) and Karen Diaz (10′) the hosts turned over the match to 2-1. Within just 10 minutes, however, there was another turnover to 2-3 after the goals of Katty Martinez (16′) and Andrea Pereira (20′). And after the booming start of the match, Club America returned and tried to save the result.

Thus, the visitors Club America succeeded to secure the win and climbed to 3rd place in the Mexico Liga MX Women’s Clausura with 20 points, while their opponents Pachuca fell to 4th position with 18 points.

In the other matches from the round, Santos Laguna defeated Necaxa by 3-0 (0-0) after the goals of Alexxandra Ramirez (65′), Sofia Varela (74′), and Alexia Villanueva (80′). Toluca and U.N.A.M.- Pumas ended the match with a goalless draw.
